Moletsi, Limpopo – 31 October 2026

The Limpopo Scholar Transport Alliance (LSTA), through its Executive Committee, visited and engaged with five local scholar transport associations operating within the Greater Moletsi Community on Saturday, 31 October 2026.

The stakeholder engagement brought together representatives from Moletsi R521 Scholar, Moletsi Scholar Transport Cooperative, Mmotong Scholar, Kwena Moloto Scholar and Moruleng Scholar Transport Associations. The purpose of the visit was to create a platform for constructive dialogue, allowing the associations to raise and discuss the various challenges affecting their daily operations, while collectively exploring practical solutions and opportunities to improve the scholar transport industry.

Key discussions focused on operational challenges, operating licence applications, regulatory compliance, communication with relevant government departments, relations with schools and other stakeholders, as well as the need to strengthen cooperation among local associations. As the 2026 academic year draws to a close, LSTA emphasised the importance of addressing these challenges proactively to ensure that operators are better prepared for the 2027 school calendar.

The Alliance further reaffirmed its commitment to representing the interests of local scholar transport associations, strengthening stakeholder relations and working towards a more organised, professional, safe and sustainable scholar transport industry in Limpopo.

The engagement forms part of LSTA's broader objective of bringing local associations together under one representative structure, ensuring that the voices and concerns of scholar transport operators are heard by relevant authorities and stakeholders. LSTA believes that meaningful progress in the scholar transport industry can only be achieved through unity, cooperation, continuous engagement and collective responsibility.

Be road smart. Be operational smart.
